Our VT Spike Feet base is made of a special polyurethane cellular elastomer - a vibration absorbing elastomer. 
  These elastomers display excellent properties when put under pressure and perform with excellence when
  used for vibration decoupling. This material differs significantly to other products on the market that use cork, 
  felt, sponge etc.  that have not been specifically engineered for a vibration damping role. Additionally, our
  base material will provide a protective interface to prevent spikes from damaging and scratching floors.
